Beginning in April 2002, ladies of the congregation began serving the Lord and His people in need with their sewing skills. That’s Thirteen Years of making quilts to give away to those in need. The ladies meet nearly every Monday with an attendance of ten. We have made approximately 1000 quilts and 101 lap robes.
During 2014 the ladies completed 149 quilts and 11 lap robes. These were given to Good Shepherd Mission Metro Lutheran Ministry, Beautiful Savior Home and the Ozanam Home.
Save your Best Choice UPC’s. The money received is used to purchase supplies for making quilts. A collection container is on the shelf in the narthex.
SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY – 9:45 AM
STUDY OF THE BOOK OF Revelation
The author of Revelation mentioned his name, John, four times throughout the book (Revelation 1:1, 4, 9; 22:8). Christians throughout history have given almost unanimous affirmation to the identity of the book’s author as John the apostle, who had been exiled to the island of Patmos by the authorities for preaching the gospel in Asia. Usually, when people mention the book of Revelation, they immediately think about judgment. And without a doubt, much judgment occurs in the book. However, Revelation does not end with judgment. Instead, it provides a striking bookend for the entire Bible, which begins in Paradise and ends in Paradise. More than judgment on the evildoers, Revelation is a book about hope for the faithful in Christ.
WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY – 4:00 PM
STUDY OF THE BOOK OF 1 & 2 Kings
The books of First and Second Kings are the story of Israel’s decline. Whereas 1st & 2nd Samuel document Israel’s shift from corrupt judges to the righteous leadership of David, Kings shows how Israel divides and falls into the hands of her enemies. These books of history pick up where 2nd Samuel left off: Israel is united under the godly King David, who appoints his son Solomon to rule after him. Solomon is blessed with wisdom and charged with building a majestic temple to the Lord in Jerusalem. God tells Solomon to remember Him and follow his father David’s example. Unfortunately, Solomon is unfaithful to God in his later years, and God divides the kingdom after his death. The northern ten tribes follow Solomon’s former warrior and taskmaster Jeroboam, and the tribes of Judah and Benjamin remain loyal to the throne of David.

The Calendar is posted next to the
"Prayer of Peace"
with a list of our Friends and Loved ones that need our Prayer. You can tear both out and refer to them daily.
Also, if you look in the Narthex on the Bulletin Board, we have posted the Missionary Suggested Prayer list of Individuals. The prayer profiles are designed for those who wish to pray for LCMS missionaries and personnel. These profiles give information about their families, their ministry, and prayer needs.
